Twitter event kicks of new business tv series about Twitter for business
Thursday, October 30, 2008
A week ago, we announced that we'd be putting together a series of shows about Twitter for business. Filming and production of that series begins today, on Twitter, at 8am EST / 12 noon GMT.
Business people with views on whether Twitter is great for business (at one end of the spectrum), or an annoying distraction from productive work time (at the other), are invited to join the discussion on a Twitter account set up for today's event. It's found here - or tweet @ybctweetshows.
The yourBusinessChannel editorial team wants to find out what works, what doesn't, who is building Twitter in to their plans for world domination, who has had great successes (and what they have been), mistakes people are willing to share, plus a myriad of other topics and what we can all learn from this. There is no set structure or expectation around the event, other than people will share their thoughts/views/experiences.
The event runs from 8am-8pm EST (12 noon - 12 midnight GMT) on @ybctweetshows - just follow us and take part. You need to be signed up to Twitter (a 60 second investment in time) to participate. Everyone is welcome.
yourBusinessChannel is filming the event, and will be producing the first of a series of Twitter shows soon afterwards, for general release. It will include some of the findings/themes from the event, expert advice from business people who have enjoyed great success on Twitter, and links to resources and highly recommended business twits to follow!
yourBusinessChannel Features Editor, Mark Sinclair (@ybcmark), says "We're fascinated to see what happens, who gets involved, and what we find out. Will we be sitting in an empty virtual room chatting away to ourselves, or will this spark up conversation. Will we see huge volumes of debate and collaboration and sharing, or a few good ideas from a handful of people. Who knows?"
yourBusinessChannel will also be looking at the event to find interesting businesses to interview/profile on yourBusinessChannel's numerous other show series.
